Mentor & Mentee Program

What is the Mentor and Mentee Program? It is a program where we pair students and early career folks (mentees) with more experienced professionals (mentors) who are attending IUWC 2025 in order to facilitate networking and communications between those newer to the urban wildlife field and those who have experience to share.

What can I expect from the Mentor and Mentee Program? If you decide to participate in the program you can expect the following:

  • Be hand-paired with a mentor/mentee whom we think would be beneficial to your particular path

  • Coordinate with your mentor/mentee before the conference starts. We particularly encourage a virtual meeting (e.g., via Zoom), but this is not required.

  • Meet at least once on the Sunday or Monday of the conference to establish goals (in-person).

  • Follow up via email after the conference.

If you are interested in participating in the Mentor and Mentee program during the upcoming 2025 International Urban Wildlife Conference, please fill out this form and indicate your interest during registration. Whether you want to be a mentee or mentor at the upcoming annual meeting, please complete your application by end of day on April 15th, 2025 to ensure a pairing. Note - this is the same deadline for non-late conference registration.
